This trip combines THE MAYHEW, and THE SHOAFF. You will start at the Mayhew Rd boat launch and paddle all the way downtown to the Promenade Park boat pier. You will have to get out at the Johnny Appleseed dam and carry your boat around the dam. Don't forget your sunscreen and plenty to drink!

This trip takes you from the boat ramp on County Road 68 to the boat ramp in Leo-Cedarville on SR1. Enjoy a quiet scenic paddle through rural forest and farmland.  View the historic Spencerville Covered Bridge. Expect to see turtles, blue heron, cranes, and many small mammals. If you are quiet, you might even see a few deer along the way!

THE RESERVOIR-LEO

Get in at the boat launch on Grabill Rd off of SR1. Paddle around and return to the boat launch when finished. The St Joe River flows slow enough here to allow you to paddle upstream or downstream without any problems. A good beginners paddle. Visit Riverside Park, playground and splash pad on the other side of SR1

*THE CEDAR.* 4-5 hours

Get in at Tonkel road and float downstream past the Hirsch Road bridge, and down to SR1. There is a small rocky damn towards the end of this paddle that you will have to paddle over, but is navigable fairly easily. There may be several shallow spots along this trip, so you may have moments where you will have to either scooch along, or get out and walk beside your boat for a few feet to deeper water. There are also several obstacles to navigate at times, including fallen trees. However, this trip is our house favorite. Easy access, lots of nature to see, we often see many animals along the way. our guides have plenty of experience on this trip to help you along and keep you from having to get out of your boat, if you would choose to have one. We recommend packing some lunch, and stopping at one of the many sandbars along the way. The kids also like to take time to swim, eat lunch, and  collect mussels and shells.

THE CEDAR PLUS. 6-8 hours

Get in at Tonkel road and float all the way to the Mayhew road bridge and boat launch. This is a long trip! Be sure to bring your sunscreen, and plenty of drinks. We prefer to bring a lunch and find a sandbar to stop and eat or rest, or take a swim break!

THE TONKEL. 2-3 Hours

Start at Tonkel road and float downstream to Hirsch Road.

THE HIRSCH. 2-3 hours

Start at Hirsch Road and float downstream to the SR1 bridge. There is a small dam/"rapids" at the end to go through. We haven't had any issues there yet though.

THE LEO 2-3 hours
